What's Upcoming...

We received shipping information for Tula Pink's Linework and anticipate having that in the shop on Wednesday. We will begin cutting kits for the Opening Night quilt kit and the fabric will hit the floor on Wednesday, November 4th. If you are interested in purchasing a kit, please let us know so that we know how many we need to cut!

Also heading into the shop this week are the kits for the samples that Eva made while on retreat. You are not going to be able to resist the Gnome baskets and and the Tissue Tote! They make great gifts and are so very practical, you may want to make yourself some!

                  

Just a reminder, we are not having a live sale on this coming Monday, it has been scheduled for Monday, November 2nd. We will have more 3 yard kits, notebook kits, and holiday kits including placemats and quilts. We are also hoping to have some new fabrics from Marcus and Timeless Treasures. We will keep you up to date with all that is happening, so stay tuned!!

For the Very First Time

I have been wanting to spend time creating a blog for The Village Quilter since way before we even opened in 2016. Sometimes a task seems overwhelming and well, it becomes very easy to procrastinate!! The blog may not have the "look" I would like, at least it is started!

Today is the third Saturday in October and the shop is bustling with activity, no more than 8 people at a time. This has truly been a strange year for us. Eva is away on retreat, stitching up some new samples and just generally enjoying herself with the company of friends. Companionship has looked different this year and we are still finding creative ways of gathering and sharing our Quilty passion.

Above is the Strippy Forest quilt, pattern by Gudrun Erla. I love the different color trees and the large snowflake fabric used in the borders. Here are few peeks at what else she is working on...

I just love the Flipping Out container from By Annie all done up in this bright and colorful Kaffe fabric. Eva loves purple, hence the purple dot Kaffe lining! 

The Sew Easy Baskets in our holiday gnome fabric is adorable and they are being kitted up as I type this. Next up in the category of new kits coming to the shop, the Tissue Tote also sewn up in our latest purple Kaffe fabric. Eva sure has been busy!
